Beach
The beach of Quinta do Lago is located in the heart of the Ria Formosa Natural Park and is accessible through a long wooden bridge that rises harmoniously above the estuaries.
The extremely rich biodiversity and variety of habitats is ecologicaly balenced and a privileged location for bird watching.
Bird watching
A crossing point for African migratory species and home to more than 250 different species, the Algarve offers a rich and diverse experience in bird watching. Discover the 10 IBA (Important Bird Areas) and the many observation points and structures available.
Golf

Cultural attractions
Church of St. Lourenço
Built in the first half of the 18th century, the church of Capela de São Lourenço dos Matos is the best testimony of the baroque tiles work in the Algarve. Considered one of the greatest artistic treasures in the south of the country, this church presents itself as a remarkable example of the religious portuguese architecture. In the presbitary, in addition to the tiles, stands out the portuguese gilt carved altarpiece, also in Baroque style.
Town Market of Loulé
Inaugurated in 1908 to bring together all the different markets in the city, it was designed by the architect Alfredo Costa Campos in the Arab-inspired revival style. Despite the various improvements, expansions and remodelings, it remains a landmark of the city and a place to visit.
Castel of Loulé
The originally Arab castle, rebulit in the XIII century, had a large walled perimeter, part of which still visible.
You can also see some of the outer towers one of which facing Rua da Barbacã, built of masonry, and Torre de Vela made of mud located in the Rua da Corredoura. This architecture feature was introduces by the Almohad in the Iberian Peninsula.
